RAV3N Biological Select Agents and Toxins (BSAT) workshop

RAV3N hosted a Biological Select Agents and Toxins (BSAT) workshop at the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas on May 1-2, 2025.

The 1.5-day workshop hosted by the Operations, Biosafety and Biorisk Working Group of RAV3N brought together ROs and AROs from across the RAV3N Network to discuss Federal Select Agent Program (FSAP), Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC) and Pathogens with Enhanced Pandemic Potential (PEPP). The network members discussed setting up new registrations, inspections, renewal, and other topics relating to having a facility that stores select agents. In addition to the roundtable discussions the network members had the opportunity to tour the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston National Laboratory.

Thank you to the RAV3N members for a great conversation and sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
